Workforce Resource, Inc. is soliciting applications for providers of service for economically disadvantaged youth in compliance with the federal Workforce Investment Act. Workforce Resource, the administrative and service arm of the West Central Wisconsin Workforce Development Board, provides youth services in nine counties of West Central Wisconsin. We are attempting to establish a comprehensive list of service providers in the following areas:

  • Paid and Unpaid Work Experience
  • Occupational Skill Training
  • Tutoring, Study Skills Training and Instruction leading to completion of secondary school including dropout prevention strategies
  • Supportive Services
  • Mentoring
  • Comprehensive Guidance and Counseling
  • Leadership Development Activities
  • Alternative Secondary Schools
  • Follow-up Services

The Workforce Investment Act requires a competitive procurement process for these program elements. Not all of these services are "paid" service components, as several are provided on a volunteer or contributed basis.
